Heal the root of your emotions by first knowing that emotions act as messengers wanting you to acknowledge something that you need to address on a deeper level.

I work with both the child and the parent separately or together because the emotional environment of the child is a hidden factor in their emotional well-being. Having said that, I do also work with children on their own, if they are not comfortable sharing just yet with the parent.

Work often triggers feelings of stress and unresolved feelings (i.e. fear of failure, seeking perfection, imposter syndrome, fear of not being able to provide) that are more deeply rooted. Understanding what these feelings are and where they are really coming from frees you from them.

As bad as these experiences may be, they are actually a symptom of a much deeper issue that is important for you to acknowledge, address and process. Target the root of it all and you will be free of these fears and intrusive thoughts.

Addiction is how we numb our pain. I work with clients on seeing what pain they are avoiding and seeing where the pain is truly coming from. We then find ways to directly treat the pain as opposed to running away from it through addictive behaviors.
