Your most powerful vote

With the election results approaching, I want to share what the most powerful vote you could ever cast truly is. Your most powerful vote comes down to following your dreams, which also requires working through your pain. Doing this is the greatest gift you can give not only to yourself but also to your children, your family, and the world. It’s the very reason you exist.

In this presidential election, vote for whomever you wish. But don’t forget to vote for yourself. When you vote for yourself, you cast your light onto the world—and onto your inner child as well.

All the chaos happening in the world I believe is a reflection and a symptom of what’s happening both within our hearts and within our homes. Sometimes we can over-fixate on the problems of this world to avoid the pain within our hearts. Trying to change the world without trying to change yourself is like trying to change the reflection you see in the mirror. It doesn’t work that way, because it’s impossible.

Regardless of which president wins, know that the world’s best-kept secret will still be widely hidden from us all. The economy is obviously important but what about our emotional economy? I feel the emotional state of humanity is starving because it is never talked about. It is a taboo subject as if it doesn’t exist. I am specifically talking about emotional trauma, which is never talked about.

We talk about all the different tragedies in the world, yet we don’t talk about the tragedy that pertains to all of humanity. What you see with the Menendez brothers is not specific to them because everybody has experienced emotional trauma to some degree. There’s nothing wrong with my clients. I truly believe they are the bright ones who seek help and realize there is a problem. Most of us live in denial.  We portray false images of happiness and peace on social media, while we are actually starving emotionally on the inside.

Casting a vote for yourself is casting a vote for your family, and all of humanity. That is an election that doesn’t just happen every four years. It is an election that takes place every day and every moment of your life.
